Common blenny – Lipophrys pholis

A zippy little fish you can find in rockpools from right at the top to the lower shore. They usually vary slightly in colour dependng on the colour of the rocks/seaweeds of the local shore, they can be gree, grey and brown. These are small and usually shy, darting away from predators… but with a little patience peering over into the rockpool and keeping still some will stay long enough for you to get a look at there gorgeous mottled colouration and partilciry personailty filled eyes! A few bold indivudals even let me film them which you can watch here.
